JO ANN PACHO, Creative Services ManagerSeven straight years as a design recruiter has placed Jo Ann at the center of a vast network of relationships with both top designers and clients. She has worked side by side with designers, has participated in usability and focus groups, negotiated contracts and drafted project specifications. Jo Ann has built creative teams for clients such as Yahoo!, Charles Schwab, Electronic Arts, Cisco, Sun Microsystems and others. She has also managed a creative team as a manager for a start up. She has worked in Project Management and Account Management, both in-house and on contract.
This experience, along with her passion for social connection and context, is how Jo Ann honed her skills as a creative matchmaker. She truly understands the artists' mind, as well as the design process, from definition of needs to delivery of assets. Jo Ann's ability to see the big picture, along with her insightful instincts about individuals, allows her to consistently provide clients with top talent.
ADAM KLEINBERG, Creative DirectorAdam channels his passion and creativity into powerful and strategic messaging. He art directs in both online and traditional media. He is a Flash master. And he has been known to write a darn good headline. But Adam's greatest talent is collecting and organizing talent. Since the late Nineties, Adam has built powerful advertising and Web development teams. He has assembled several creative teams within other agenciesand, he has helped assembled SubTraction.
Prior to his current position at Traction, Adam most recently was Interactive Director at Doremus Advertising. Prior to that he was an Art Director at Tribal DDB. His client roster includes SAP, Macromedia, Adobe and Microsoft.
MICHELE TURNER, Creative DirectorMichele is a classically trained art director. She began her career seventeen years ago in traditional mediaadvertising, collateral, and magazines. She even ventured into the world of animation. When Michele moved into online art direction in the 90s, she took her well-schooled design discipline and sensibilities with her. Her work stands out, as does her eye for talentit is refined, balanced, intelligent and beautiful.
Prior to her position at Traction, Michele was most recently employed as Associate Creative Director for Tribal DDB. She has left her mark on a diverse group of accounts including Clorox, HP, Macromedia and JCP Geologists.
THEO FANNING, Creative DirectorTheo has spent the last ten years working as a professional designer, art director and illustrator. He is also an incredibly talented animator. He has worked with a broad range of clients, from the smallest of dotcoms to monolith brick and mortar companies.
Theo's conceptual vision, fueled by a traditional fine art background, is pure science. He brings unending imagination and magic to everything he touches, and looks at each challenge with enthusiasm. Before helping to found Traction, Theo was an Art Director at Tribal DDB and THINK New Ideas. His credits include Macromedia, Oracle, HP and Bonny Doon Vineyard.
PAUL GIESE, Director of ProductionEight years of production experience in both the Web and print industries have made Paul a seasoned industry leader. Five years in management have honed his task allocation and communication skills to the highest level of excellence.
Paul is a problem solver. He exploits the limitations of technology to create effects that most developers would deem impossible. He applies the same standards to every developer he recommends to represent SubTraction. He has managed Web development projects at a number of agencies including Organic, Robot 6 and Doremus Advertising. He has literally built dozens of Web sites for a list of clients that includes Amdocs, Tektronix, Adobe, GreatPets.com and Sun Microsystems.
